How To Apply to Business

Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science in Accounting (MS Accounting), Master of Science in Management Information Technology (MSMIT)

  • Formal Admission (Full Admission)
    • Minimum TOEFL score of 79 on the internet-based examination. Please click here for other ways to meet the English language requirement.
    • Graduation from a university or college with a Bachelor's degree or higher.
    • Resume/CV
    • 300-500 word Statement of Purpose
    • Two letters of recommendation
    • Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT)
      • Business Administration (MBA) and Accounting : minimum GMAT score depends on Bachelor degree Grade Point Average (GPA.). Please contact the Office of International Student Services or Dr. Bhavik Pathak (bkpathak@iusb.edu) for more information about GMAT minimum requirements.

    Special Notes:

    • MBA program has three areas of concentration: General Business, Finance, and Marketing.
  • Conditional Admission

    Applicants who have not yet documented English Language Proficiency or completed a GMAT score may indicate they wish to be considered for conditional admission. All other application materials must be submitted to be considered for conditional admission.  Full admission will not be granted until the English Language Proficiency requirements and GMAT score have met the full admission requirements as listed above.

    Conditional Acceptance: Applicants who submit the items below and have met the academic requirements could be issued a conditional admission letter to the MBA , MSA or MSMIT programs. 

    To be formally admitted students must successfully have a minimum TOEFL score of 550 on the paper examination or 79 on the internet-based examination. Please click here for other ways to meet the English language requirement. Students must also receive a minimum GMAT to receive formal admission.

    Business Administration (MBA) and Accounting : minimum GMAT score depends on Bachelor degree Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) Please contact the Office of International Student Services or Dr. Saksena (psaksena@iusb.edu) for more information about GMAT minimum requirements.

    MSMIT expected GMAT score is 500.

    • Graduation from a university or college with a Bachelor's degree or higher
    • Original Academic Records (with English translations)
    • Two letters of recommendation (For the MBA program it is strongly recommended that one of the letters of recommendation come from their supervisor at their work place, if they have one or more years of work experience)
    • Statement of Purpose (300-500 word personal statement)
    • Evidence of Financial Support
