I was born, raised, and homeschooled in South Bend, IN. Due to early childhood learning difficulties, I earned my TASC/GED equivalency as a young adult and later participated in the ABC Program as a prospective transfer student. Indiana University South Bend felt like home to me then.
I graduated from Ivy Tech Community College with an A.S. in General Studies. I then transferred to Indiana University South Bend and graduated with a B.A. in Communication Studies with a concentration in public relations and a minor in media culture and society. I am currently a graduate student in Communication Studies at Indiana University South Bend.
I have experienced culture shock, the scary transfer process, and the disappointment of a pandemic canceling a bicentennial commencement ceremony. I also know that Indiana University has the resources to make every student succeed in life.
Fun Facts: I enjoy baking, hiking, learning German, and finding new recipes.
