Indiana University South Bend wants you as our student. As an Ohio resident, IU South Bend can offer you an institutional award that brings the tuition rate to approximately $9,000 per academic year, if you meet certain requirements.
The lower tuition rate is possible because of our Chancellor’s Merit Award Scholarship.
If you have a:
- minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale, AND
- an old SAT critical reading and math combined score of 950 or higher (20 or higher composite score on the ACT), OR
- a new SAT score of 1030 (Evidence-based Reading and Writing + Math) you qualify.
The Chancellor’s Merit Award at IU South Bend can offer you 140% of the in-state resident tuition rate which comes to about $9,000, a savings of more than $10,000 a year. If the requirements are maintained, the scholarship is renewable over the four years of your college career, resulting in a savings of more than $40,000.
