Become A Titan Ambassador

Are you a people person who is passionate about all that IU South Bend has to offer? Are you an enthusiastic and committed campus leader who is proud to be a Titan?

Our Titan Ambassadors are a selective group of students who serve as the face of IU South Bend. As an Ambassador, you'll get the chance to represent campus and share your experience with prospective students, parents, and other university guests by facilitating daily tours and other Office of Admissions events. The Ambassador program strives to bring together a diverse group of students from various academic disciplines and campus organizations to provide a positive and honest image of IUSB to future Titans and their families.

To be considered for a position on the Titan Ambassador team, we invite you to complete an application and return it to the Office of Admissions in the Administration Building.

Position Duties

Campus Ambassadors are expected to:

Represent IU South Bend positively, honestly, and professionally
Warmly greet visitors to campus and make them feel welcome
Lead weekly Titan Tours, Saturday Tours, Spanish Tours, Health Science Tours, etc as needed
Assist with large Admissions special events, such as Showcase Days

Qualifications & Benefits

Must be currently enrolled at IUSB in either an undergraduate or graduate program, and have been enrolled for at least 2 semesters
Must maintain a GPA of at least 2.5
Must actively demonstrate dedication, enthusiasm, and pride for IU South Bend
Proven reliability, punctuality, and dependability
Attendance at mandatory trainings and Office of Admissions events

Training & Compensation

After completing an application and sitting for an interview with an Admissions Counselor, if you are hired, you will be participate in Titan Ambassador Training. As a Trainee, you will be expected to attend Ambassador Orientation, shadow campus tours, and lead a campus tour for an Admissions Counselor. Upon completion of the Titan Ambassador Training, you will be promoted from Titan Ambassador Trainee to a Titan Ambassador.

Titan Ambassador trainees and underclassmen will be compensated at $10.15 per hour. Once a Titan Ambassador has earned the equivalent of an Associate's degree (60 credits) they are eligible for a raise to $10.65, and then $10.95 as a senior (90 credits).
