Once an admission decision has been made, you will receive an email notice followed by a mailed packet with next steps that will include information about setting up or reactivating your One.IU account, placement exams, and connecting to an advisor to select classes.

There are different pathways to your return. Below you will find guidance on how to seek readmission and settle back into the IU South Bend community.

If it’s been less than a year since you completed your application, you can update your admission record with this form.
If it’s been more than a year since you submitted your application, you can make an update by completing the Apply IU application again. Call or write to us for an application fee waiver. We will contact you if we need updated transcripts or additional information.

You may contact your department and set up an advising appointment.

Please complete the Apply IU By including IU South Bend on the list of colleges, you will not need to pay the application fee.
Be sure to list any other colleges you have attended since leaving IU South Bend, and then request that those schools send transcripts officially to us.

If your last enrollment was at another IU campus and you would like to continue your degree program at IU South Bend, please complete the Apply IU application for permanent campus transfers. Be sure to use a future graduation date on the application to ensure that the fee is waived.
List any other colleges you have attended since leaving IU, and then request that those schools send transcripts officially to us.
Those seeking a temporary intercampus transfer may use the form linked here.

Guest students enrolled in a degree program at another IU campus can apply for a temporary intercampus transfer using the form linked here.

In addition to the Apply IU application, you may need to meet with the department in which you will resume study to discuss strategies for continued success.
You may re-enter in Spring or Fall semester, but please keep in mind that you should complete your application process as early as possible and may be expected to enroll no later than 30 days before the start of the semester.

Please complete the Apply IU application and be sure to list any schools that you may have attended in addition to IU South Bend. Request those schools to send your official transcripts to us.

If you were denied admission to IU South Bend as a freshman applicant, you may seek readmission by participating in the Ivy Tech Transitions Program. If you were denied admission as a transfer student, you may seek admission once you have at least 12 transferrable credits with a minimum of a 2.0/4.0 cumulative GPA.

You may use approximate dates for the periods in which you attended high
school and college, if you are unable to remember precise dates.
Whenever you are asked to enter a country, United States will appear at the
top of the list.
You can skip questions that do not end with an asterisk (*).
If you missed a required question, you will get an error sign and a set of red highlights beneath the questions you overlooked.

You were enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at another campus and you have not completed this degree. You would like to continue your degree program at IU South Bend.

You are completing a degree program at another IU campus and you would like to take a class at IU South Bend as a guest (you do not want to transfer permanently to IU South Bend).

You were dismissed from your degree program and would like to resume study.

You completed non-degree study and would like to begin a degree program or you completed a bachelor degree and would like to continue your studies at IU South Bend.

You were denied admission but would like to be reconsidered.
